then you really need to buy "The Game Of Things." We just had some friends over for supper tonight, then brought out my favouritest game ever - here's a link: http://www.thingsthegame.com/
The way it works is that the reader reads a card. Eg. "Things you shouldn't laugh at." Then everyone writes down an answer and hands it in to the reader, who then reads them out loud. Everyone guesses whose answer belongs to who, and IT IS A HOOT!! Here were some funny ones we had tonight:
Things you shouldn't laugh at:
- your friends dog on fire
- someone with half a face due to surgery
Things you shouldn't say to the police officer when pulled over for speeding:
- I'm so sorry sir. Oops, I mean mam!
- I'm just super baked right now, officer
- wanna have sex??
Things you shouldn't say to break an awkward silence:
-want a mint?
- my dogs kisses taste good
Things that cause accidents:
- seeing a dog lit on fire!
- too much ex-lax
Things you shouldn't advertise on a billboard:
- Hitler was my great great uncle
- geriatric strip club
Things that jiggle:
- your mom
- your aunts double chin
Ok, some of those might sound immature and lame, but in the moment, they are just so funny. There were so many more that became inside jokes, and it is just such a great game to play especially if you are just getting to know people. It breaks the ice, and makes everyone comfortable. That being said, you need to play with people that like to have fun. It can be pretty dry if people don't get creative with their answers. I realize this is a random post, but if someone got a little chuckle out of some of those answers, it's worth it :D

Okay, we LOVE this game in our family. We own it, too, and it comes out every single Christmas, camping trip, wherever there is family there is "Things"! :)
Sweet! I haven't met very many people who play it, that's awesome. Isn't it hilarious?? I laugh SO hard every time we play it. But then it kind of gets to a lull, and you know it's time to end the game :D
I took your advice and bought it for Ally as part of their wedding gift! Sounds so fun!
That's so cool, Brandi! We should play it sometime!
